After unsuccessful attempts to launch an innovative solution to more effectively capture new business leads at trade shows, the Louisiana Seafood Promotion & Marketing Board turned to us to develop a leading edge technology solution. We responded to the challenge efficiently to capture leads and automate distribution to an existing database of over 4,500 suppliers in real-time by developing an Apple iPad 2 (tablet) application utilizing cutting edge Bluetooth scanner capability. Since the iPad2 was scheduled for public release a week before the largest U.S.-based seafood industry trade show, Zehnder worked with our industry insiders to develop the solution using prototypes not yet publicly available. The solution allowed the staff to wirelessly scan the badges of the attendees which were instantly populated into a custom form on the iPad 2. The staff was able to complete the lead generation form by asking several questions regarding the potential customer's needs. Once the form was completed the application automatically interfaced via a wireless or 3G internet connection with vendor contacts in the database. The potential customer's details and needs were sent in real-time to vendors who matched the customer's criteria.
