Why do you do what you do?
Because as a kid I used to play a game at the local swimming pool that we called “commercial” where you’d do the line from your favorite commercial and then jump in. I always dreamt of being the one who wrote those spots. I like to think I’m a great writer, but not the kind who works in the creative dept. I wondered – could I take my creative brain and my love of talking and my talent of “cracking the whip” and turn them into something? The answer was yes – advertising – Account Management. So why do I do what I do – because I never met a challenge I didn’t like. Because I get a high off of helping a client find a solution to their problem. Because I thrive on deadlines and multi-tasking. Because I love surrounding myself with really smart, strategic thinkers.

What was your proudest career moment?
Gosh. Hard to say. They’re all good. So I would say the next campaign. I’m still surprising myself.

What fuels you to do the best?
The people I work with. I have never worked with a smarter, more talented group of individuals.  When we can collaborate and land on something great and then see the needle really move for the client, it’s addictive. You want to do it for the next client and the next and the next….

What drew you to Zehnder?
When I was living in San Diego, I loved it, but often thought about moving home. I came to New Orleans for a friend’s wedding and called Jeff Zehnder to see if I could stop by for an interview. I loved it from the moment I walked in the door. It felt like me – work hard, play hard, down-to-earth. No BS.  Two years later I was ready to make the move and called Jeff back. The rest is history.

What do you suck at?
Driving – people are afraid
Telling a joke – I was asked to tell a joke to kick off a meeting once and it was like crickets…

Describe your most quirky trait:
I have a bread issue. I am very particular about the bread I will eat – it can’t be too bready!

I hate wrinkles so l iron everything – even a t-shirt to wear around the house!

I love to karaoke – in another life I am Stevie Nicks.
