Johnny Iuzzini, Criollo Generate Buzz at Wine and Food Festival
Jun 4, 2012 – NEW ORLEANS – Celebrity Chef Johnny Iuzzini and Criollo Restaurant and Lounge were hot topics during the 2012 New Orleans Wine and Food Experience, according to social media research by Zehnder Communications.
The five-day festival, which ended May 26, showcased New Orleans chefs and restaurants. Zehnder’s tracking of online mentions shows Iuzzini, a judge on Bravo’s “Top Chef Just Desserts” series, along with the Criolli restaurant in New Orleans’ famed Hotel Monteleone were among the event’s most popular subjects.
Zehnder compiled a variety of social media interactions during the Wine and Food Experience in its “State of the Listen” info-graphic available online here. In addition to Iuzzini, other chefs generating buzz included New Orleans pastry Chef David Guas and Chef Keith Frentz, winner of the 2012 Louisiana Seafood Cook-Off.
Zehnder also found that with 90 percent of the posts, Twitter was the overwhelming platform of choice among attendees sharing their experiences online.
