Jul 23, 2010 – NEW ORLEANS – Zehnder Communications, a full-service advertising agency with offices in Louisiana and Tennessee, garnered a Silver Telly at the 31st Annual Telly Awards for their online video “We’ll make you think”, the agency’s 29th Telly in its 14-year history.
The Silver Telly, the ceremony’s highest honor in each category, recognized Zehnder for its East Baton Rouge Parish Schools online video titled, “We’ll make you think.” The video (available online at www.ThinkEBRSchools.com) illustrates the importance of role models by including notable graduates such as DreamWorks screenwriter, Karey Kirkpatrick; television personality, Randy Jackson; and Emmy winner, Mike Esnault. The video played a key role in Zehnder’s campaign to correct several commonly held misperceptions about the school system.
“The truth can be quite compelling, especially in marketing,” said Mike Rainey, Zehnder’s chief creative officer. “We literally focused on the positives and highlighted the successes.”
The Silver Telly also comes after Zehnder was the sole Louisiana advertising agency honored earlier in June at the 2010 national ADDY Awards show in Orlando. The agency was recognized for its work with the historic Drake Hotel in Chicago.
Presented by the New York-based Telly Awards organization, the Tellys honor the best local, regional and cable-television commercials and programs, as well as the best video and film productions, and work created for the Web. This year, judges considered more than 13,000 entries from 50 states and five continents. Less than 10 percent of entries win top honors.
Zehnder Communications is a fully integrated advertising agency providing a wide range of services, including strategic marketing, public relations, media placement, creative services, social media, interactive design and programming. With offices in Baton Rouge, New Orleans and Nashville, the agency has been serving the greater Southeast region for 14 years.
